Classic bob vs Stacked bob.

When it comes to haircuts for ladies I have a cut that always is in the forefront of my mind and that hairstyle is the bob cut. I like all styles of bob from inverted, asymmetric bob, stacked bob which is great for thick hair and the classic bob brought back to life by the great Vidal Sassoon some 40 years ago. The bob has great cultural significance as well because of the fact that in the roaring 20's ladies felt liberated after chopping off their long hair which had been the society norm for woman to have long hair since the renaissance. Back to the roaring 20's when women felt empowered to start thinking about a different haircut instead of the long haired women of the early 20th century and just like now after seeing Hollywood icons such as Louise Brooks showing off their sexy new short haircuts that were called the bob they couldn't get to the hairdressers quick enough to update their style. This style became very popular because of its practicality and bob cuts have stayed a go to haircut for generations thereafter for good reason. It is a short hairstyle that is fairly low maintenance while retaining femininity and elegance. Stacked bobs with their clippered napes and tapered edges may look slightly more contemporary than their close cousins the classic bob. But a classic bob is a great go to style no matter what your age is our your hair type.
